Model Publication Scheme
Corserv has adopted the model publication scheme approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
The model publication scheme commits Corserv in our position as a public authority to make information available to the public as part of our normal business activities. The scheme has been adopted without modification and will be valid until further notice from the ICO.
View the model publication scheme in full.
The model publication scheme splits the information that must be published into classes. In accordance with the ICO’s requirements, we have developed a Guide to Information which contains all the information we publish within these classes as well as the location of this information (see below).
This document and the ICO’s model publication scheme form the basis of the publication commitment by Corserv.
The method by which information published under this scheme will be made available
Where it is within the capability of Corserv, information will be provided on our website. Where it is impracticable to make information available on a website or when an individual does not wish to access the information by the website, we will indicate how information can be obtained by other means and provide it by those means.
Obligations under disability and discrimination legislation and any other legislation to provide information in other forms and formats will be adhered to when providing information in accordance with this scheme.
The purpose of this scheme is to make information readily available at minimum inconvenience and cost to the public. Charges made by Corserv for routinely published material will be justified and transparent and kept to a minimum.
Any information which is published on our website will be free to access.
Most requests for information will be dealt with free of charge but you may have to pay for actual disbursements incurred such as:
- postage and packaging
- the costs directly incurred as a result of viewing information
Charges may also be made for information provided under this scheme where they are legally authorised, they are in all the circumstances, including the general principles of the right of access to information held by public authorities, justified and are in accordance with a published schedule or schedules of fees which is readily available to the public.
Charges may also be made for making datasets (or parts of datasets) that are relevant copyright works available for re-use. These charges will be in accordance with the terms of the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015, where they apply, or with regulations made under section 11B of the Freedom of Information Act or with other statutory powers that may apply.
If a charge is to be made, we will contact you within 5 working days of a request. You will then have the option to withdraw your request for information. We may have to refuse to process very expensive requests. If this is the case, we will assist you to reduce the scope of your request to a more practical level.
Payment for charges due may be requested prior to provision of the information.
Information held by Corserv that is not published under this scheme can be requested in writing, when its provision will be considered in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. A request cannot be made by telephone or by speaking to someone face to face. Once you have submitted your FOI request you should receive the information you have requested within 20 working days. If we need more time, we will contact you and explain why.
We may not be able to release certain information due to data protection issues or where the information is sensitive or confidential. Where this is the case, we will set out the reasons for withholding the information.
Our aim is to be as open as possible with the information we provide. Should you feel that this has not been the case, you have a full and formal appeal process at your disposal.
In the first instance, we will carry out a full review of your request by way of an internal review as set out under the Act. You must ask for this within 40 days of receiving your response. Please contact
Western Group Centre
