Our Learning and Development team and Notter Bridge Training Centre was recently visited by Ofsted for a New Provider Monitoring Visit (NPMV), to assess if we had made reasonable progress and if our programme, policies and procedures are where they expect us to be at this time.

We are pleased to say they are!

The inspection looked at three themes, plus our Safeguarding processes:

  1. Intent - Our curriculum intent takes into account the needs of learners, the employer and the local, regional economy. Our curriculum is challenging and sequenced logically and linked to the standard. Learners are well prepared for their End Point Assessment.
  2. Implementation - Trainers have expert knowledge in the subjects they teach, enable learners to understand key concepts, present information clearly and promote discussion. The curriculum is sequenced so that new knowledge and skills build on what learners know and can do and learners work towards defined end points.
  3. Impact - Learners are making good progress this is tracked and monitored, learners have successfully achieved their end point assessment, so we are getting results for our learners, close relationship with the employer ensures where possible, consolidation of learning on the job.
  4. And Safeguarding - Leaders have a culture of Safeguarding within the organisation, and they follow their processes and procedures well.

We are delighted with these results and thank the team for all their hard work to make the visit a success.
