On Wednesday 25 September 2024, the annual CIRIA BIG Biodiversity Challenge Awards 2024 were held at the WWT London Wetland Centre. The BIG Biodiversity Challenge continues to be recognised as the number one industry initiative for raising awareness of and delivering biodiversity within construction and the built environment.
Cormac was well represented at the awards with Melissa Ralph, Cormac’s Making Space for Manager acting as the Master of Ceremonies for the event following her Biodiversity Champion (Experienced Professional) award win at the 2023 awards. Cormac is a member of the CIRIA Biodiversity Community of Practice (CoP) and sponsors an award at these annual events. This year Zoe Hilditch, Cormac’s Environmental Sustainability Manager presented the Habitat Creation: Project of the Year Award (Small scale biodiversity enhancement of up to 0.5ha) to the winner The Pollinator Project, Urban GreenUP.
