We are pleased to be able to offer T Levels at Cormac, a new course launched in September 2020, taken after GCSEs that are broadly equivalent to 3 A Levels.

T Level courses have been designed in collaboration with employers and education institutions so that the content meets the needs of the industry and ensures that students are prepared for starting their career journey. T Levels are also the perfect qualification for an individual to continue studies through a Higher/Degree Apprenticeship programme, undertaking further study or to gain skilled employment.

Head of Major Projects, Steve Worthington says of the new course, “The Northern Access Road project was pleased to welcome Cormac’s first T Level placement student, Todd Hamilton, from Truro and Penwith College. Todd is currently studying a Construction Design, Surveying and Planning T level course at Truro and Penwith College and is the first student to commence the newly developed Cormac T Level Work Placement programme developed by our Learning and Development Specialist, Andy Wallis.

The T Level course requires a minimum of 315 hours (approx. 45 days) of industry placement with an employer and our programme has been designed to satisfy this requirement and include rotation throughout different parts of Cormac. Todd was inducted at the Northern Access Road project and introduced to the team on 17 April where he will be working for the next 12 weeks before continuing his placement in another area of the business. Todd was presented with his new Cormac PPE by Steve Worthington and Project Director, James Hodge”. Visit our careers webpage to find apprenticeships and opportunities.
