We’ve always known Cornwall has a warm welcome, and now the world knows it too! Cornwall Airport Newquay has officially been ranked the second friendliest airport in the world and the friendliest airport in the UK, following a major study by APH.

World ranking: 2nd place - just behind Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport.

UK ranking: 1st place – ahead of every other airport in the country.

How was this measured? Researchers analysed 71,000+ Google reviews across 120 of the world’s busiest airports. They tracked positive mentions of keywords such as friendly, helpful, polite and professional

The results speak for themselves: 73.3% of reviews for Cornwall Airport Newquay highlighted the staff members friendliness and helpfulness.

That puts Cornwall Airport Newquay not only ahead of major UK airports like London Heathrow and Manchester, but also ahead of global hubs in the US, Japan, the Middle East and beyond!

Managing Director, Amy Smith, says:

“We are so delighted to see Cornwall Airport Newquay named as the world’s second friendliest airport in the recent APH survey. Unlike many airports, we operate with a 100% in-house team – covering check-in, security, boarding and even air traffic control. That means the same friendly approach carries right through the journey, from the terminal to the skies. It creates a consistency and authenticity of service that passengers really feel, and it’s what makes our airport stand out. We might be small compared to global hubs, but that’s our strength: approachable people, a calm terminal, and an accessible, stress-free journey. We’re proud to see that recognised on a world stage, and we’ll keep building on it with improvements that enhance the experience while keeping that warm Cornish welcome at the heart of what we do.”
