Cormac has begun hosting First Aid Awareness Courses for the volunteers who work throughout Cornwall to help to maintain and improve our many green spaces.
The courses have been provided free of charge to all members of the Cormac Volunteer Scheme and equipped attendees with essential lifesaving skills, including how to perform CPR, use a defibrillator, and manage incidents involving bleeding, fractures, burns, and eye injuries. The training focused on scenarios volunteers may encounter while working outdoors in remote and rural areas.
The aim is to ensure volunteers feel supported and prepared in any given circumstance, and able to confidently offer first aid within our communities. Each participant has been provided with a first aid kit for their respective volunteer group.
