A much-loved bridleway in Tregony Village has been safely restored thanks to the swift actions and strong collaboration between Cormac teams.
Following a period of heavy rainfall, the Countryside Team received reports of significant damage to the path. Large sections of the surface had been washed away, leaving deep holes, jagged rocks, uneven terrain and exposed pipes that posed a serious safety risk to users. The path was closed immediately.
Despite extremely challenging weather conditions, the Countryside Team worked closely with the Surfacing, Civils and Patching Team to organise and deliver essential repairs as quickly as possible. The teams worked hard to restore the surface and make the path safe once again, minimising disruption to local residents and regular users.
Since reopening, the teams have received numerous messages of thanks from local residents and the Parish Council, praising the quality of work and the speed of the repairs.
This project is a great example of effective collaboration between teams, demonstrating our shared commitment to maintaining valued community assets and keeping people safe. Well done to all involved! The before and after images speak volumes.
