Cormac's Environment and Sustainability team had a fantastic time attending a Sustainability Festival held at Truro and Penwith College, held as part of their Earth Day celebrations.

The event brought together a mix of local organisations, all focused on one thing: encouraging students and adult learners to think differently about the environment and the role we can all play in shaping a more sustainable future.

Across the day, the team shared insights on the many ways Cormac is helping to support greener, more resilient communities. From hands-on volunteering opportunities to the sustainable practices woven into our work, there was plenty to talk about and lots of interest from students keen to learn more.

Another hot topic was discussing students' future ambitions. This gave the team the opportunity to showcase Cormac's apprenticeship and career pathways, delving into a variety of roles available and highlighting the prospect of local careers that offer the chance to make a real difference to the planet.

It was a brilliant, positive event full of energy and enthusiasm, and a great way for students to explore and interact with a wide range of sustainability initiatives. Sparking curiosity, ideas and conversations, the day was a great reminder of the passion and potential of the next generation when it comes to protecting our planet.
