Lemon Quay Infrastructure Team delivers community support beyond the project

We have been celebrating some fantastic examples of community spirit from the infrastructure team working on the Truro Town Deals project on Lemon Quay. The team recently went above and beyond, stepping forward to assist members of the public who needed a helping hand.

When an elderly lady approached them, distraught as she had lost her purse on Lemon Quay, the team took time and a calm approach to help. The newly installed waste bins were all unlocked and thoroughly searched, but sadly none of them contained the lost purse.

One another occasion, a lady had a fall nearby (unrelated to any project works) and was injured quite badly. The team helped her to her feet and provided immediate first aid. When it became clear that she might need medical attention, the Chargehand (Dave Howsley) accompanied the lady to the emergency department at Treliske Hospital and stayed with her, ensured her belongings were kept safe, and contacted her family.

Both are brilliant examples of the care and professionalism demonstrated every day by our colleagues. Well done to you all and thank you.
