As part of his visit to Cornwall on St Piran’s Day last week, the Duke of Cornwall visited Helston Fire Station to meet the teams who played a crucial role during the recent storms.

Cormac was pleased to be represented by Andy James, who shared the vital work, commitment and resilience our teams demonstrated during Storm Goretti. His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation to all those involved in the emergency response, recognising the essential contribution made by everyone.

Andy joined Leader of the Council Leigh Frost and Emma Trethewey, Service Director for Business Support, Integrated Systems and Performance, sharing first-hand accounts of our teams’ rapid response and tireless efforts to restore infrastructure, clear roads and support affected communities during the storm.

The visit was a proud moment for Cormac, highlighting the dedication, teamwork, and resilience that our colleagues bring to Cornwall’s emergency response.
