We’re proud to announce that Cormac and four Cormac apprentices have been shortlisted for prestigious national awards at the DfT Special Recognition Apprentice Awards 2026, hosted by Local Council Road Innovation Group (LCRIG).

Cormac has been recognised in the category:

Excellence in Apprenticeship Delivery – Employer Award

This shortlist reflects our strong commitment to developing apprentices and supporting the future workforce of the highways and infrastructure sector. With a record number of submissions this year, this achievement highlights the quality, impact and dedication of our apprenticeship programme.

Celebrating Individual Success

Alongside this organisational recognition, we’re delighted that four colleagues have been shortlisted for individual awards:

  • Chris Maude
  • James Rickard
  • Tarun Rowland
  • Lydia Knight

Their nominations showcase the talent, hard work and positive contributions our apprentices are making across the business and the wider industry.

Winners will be announced on 24 June 2026 at the DfT Special Recognition Apprentice Awards.

A Team Achievement

Being shortlisted at a national level is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects the combined efforts of our apprentices, mentors, managers and support teams.

Congratulations to everyone involved, we wish all our finalists the very best of luck in June!
