Work to replace the end-of-life Coast Path bridge over Porth-cadjack Stream was successfully completed last month.
This bridge is an important link for Coast Path users, forming part of a popular circular route between Tehidy and Portreath. A huge team effort from Cormac's Countryside & Landscapes Team and approved contractor Naturally Green meant the project was carefully planned, with materials delivered to this remote location and the build completed smoothly.
Originally scheduled for Autumn 2025, the works had to be delayed due to wet ground conditions. Thanks to the support of the National Trust materials were able to be transported across their fields once conditions improved this spring.
We were also pleased to receive lovely compliments from members of the public while on site, recognising the value of ongoing Coast Path maintenance.
The project was made possible thanks to Cornwall Council Capital Funding. Well done to everyone involved in delivering this scheme.
The before and after pictures below speak volumes.
