Following recent coverage of the Mid Cornwall Metro project, we’re proud to highlight Cormac’s part in delivering this important scheme for Cornwall. The Newquay Active Travel programme is focused on making it easier and safer for people to walk and wheel for everyday journeys, improving access to the station and surrounding areas while supporting healthier lifestyles and reducing congestion.
As part of this, works have included upgrades to key routes around the station in Newquay and for this particular phase, our Infrastructure division has successfully renovated the Newquay Railway Station car park. Works have included resurfacing, new road markings, improved accessibility features such as tactile paving and dropped kerbs, and installation of new infrastructure to support operations. It’s a fantastic example of how we’re helping to improve connectivity and create a better experience for residents and visitors.
