The comfort of compassionate care: a heartfelt thank you

We know that the support the Corserv Care teams provide can mean so much, particularly during the most difficult moments.

Recently, we received a heartfelt message from a family whose mum was supported by the Care team during the final weeks of her life. While the family were understandably facing an incredibly difficult time, they reached out to tell us how much comfort it brought to them to know their mum was cared for with kindness, patience, and dignity.

Reflecting on the care she received, they described every team member as: “Amazing, patient, kind, and skilled.”

They also wished to convey sincere thanks for the gentle care provided in her final hours: “For her to be clean and comfortable when she left was a blessing, and down to your team.”

The family also highlighted the help and reassurance received from the office team at a time when they were feeling particularly anxious and overwhelmed:“I also wanted to single out Sennen in the office for praise, there was a point in mum's care when we needed extra visits […] I was not getting any communication from Marie Curie, but I spoke to Sennen, and she was amazing. The support, to me and also my mum at the time, was so invaluable. I really felt supported, like she had my back, and I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to her.”

Receiving a compliment like this is a real testament to the compassion, kindness and dedication of our Care teams and a powerful reminder that what they do makes a genuine difference in our communities, to those they support and their families every single day.
