Thursday 9 July was a big day for Newquay in Bloom as the town welcomed judges for its annual judging day.
A great deal of hard work had taken place across Newquay in the lead up to the visit, with volunteers and community groups working throughout the town to ensure everything was looking its best.
In preparation for the final stage of the judging, the Cormac Environment Team carried out those important last-minute touches within Trenance Gardens, where the judging day concluded.
The judging party received a warm welcome on arrival, with a choir performing to greet them. Following the judging, a cream tea was held for volunteers and judges, providing an opportunity to celebrate the collective effort that had gone into preparing for the event.
The day highlighted the dedication, teamwork and community spirit that underpin Newquay in Bloom, with everyone involved playing their part in showcasing the town at its very best.
