Putting safety first: Cormac Cliff Road team responds to roadside incident

cliff-rd

Well done to our team at Cliff Road, Newquay, who recently acted quickly after a parked vehicle suffered an apparent brake failure and rolled into scaffolding surrounding the Travelodge building adjacent to our works.

The team immediately secured the area with barriers and cones, preventing public access while the situation was assessed. They then contacted the police and the scaffolding contractor, who attended site to inspect the structure and ensure the area was made safe.

Thanks to their fast thinking and decisive action, the incident was managed safely, helping to protect pedestrians and road users.

This comes just days after members of the same team were praised for supporting pedestrians during the challenging conditions brought by Storm Austen.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for putting public safety first and continuing to support the Newquay community.
